From our first tentative steps on the ice back in 2002, we have been teaching children and young adults with additional needs to ice skate in a calm and caring environment.
Each Sunday throughout the year, SPICE lessons take place at the Ice Arena in Slough, Berkshire between 10:30 and 12:15.
Following the closure of the ice rink for refurbishment, we are planning to skate at the new temporary ice rink which is currently under construction.
When we are back on the ice in February 2017, we will be running several ability groups allowing our members the best opportunity to develop their skating abilities.
SPICE employs NISA (National Ice Skating Association) coaches who all have gained lots of experience in teaching children and young adults with additional needs over the years. With volunteers on hand to support both our newer members and anyone needing a helping hand, membership is always in demand and we are currently running a waiting list.
SPICE takes safeguarding issues very seriously – we review and update our policy as appropriate on an annual basis.
