Dear SPICE members and parents,
As some of you may know, our beloved ice rink is closing for refurbishment and we expect our last SPICE session to be next weekend, 23rd October. We will run a fun session on 23rd and there won’t be any hockey. There is a possibility that we can have a final session on 30th October – we’ll update you nearer the time.
It was announced that the temporary rink would open on 7th November but we believe it more likely that it will open during December – not to worry! We are planning some different Sunday events for a couple of weeks before moving to the Windsor on Ice rink – they have kindly stepped in to support SPICE – it may mean that our timings our different on Sunday but we are incredibly grateful for their support. Hopefully, once the temp rink opens, we’ll be able to move back to Slough.
Hockey members – you must clear all your personal hockey kit from our SPICE cupboard tomorrow 16th October. We urgently need help in storing the kit whilst the refurbishment takes place. Please speak to Ricci, Andrew, Jo or Lucy about any storage space you can offer – even one bag will be of help!
