From the early noughties to the present day, SPICE has been fortunate enough to have the genuine support of the Rt Hon Fiona Mactaggart, our MP for Slough, Berkshire.
From being a sponsor on various grant requests through to disrupting her own Christmas engagement plans so she could drop into the ice rink to see members of SPICE perform at the Christmas Ice Show, Fiona has always been a genuine friend and supporter of SPICE and what we stand for – teaching children and young adults with additional needs to ice skate, in a calm and caring environment.
SPICE trustees and members would like to send our best wishes to Fiona for her future and thank her for all her support and encouragement over the years, through to 2016 and the dark days of the rink closure and our fight with the council to provide temporary ice provision whilst the rink is being refurbished.
Fiona, you are always welcome at a SPICE session, ice skates are optional!!
