As you may know we are searching for one/two treasurers to take over from Adam and Andrew who are stepping down.
Discussing with Adam the role of treasurer for Friends of SPICE, we need someone to maintain the accounts, reconcile the bank account, prepare year end accounts for approval by the board and file the accounts with the charity commission. Unless the charity gets more than £10k income any year all that needs filing is the total income and total expenses for the year.
For SPICE, as a voluntary organisation, there isn’t the charity commission element but there is more general account activity and we still need our two bank accounts to be reconciled and year end accounts to be prepared.
We now have our member subscriptions on direct debit, thanks to Lucy and Jo tends to count and bank any monies fundraised.
