The idea of creating a synchro skating team from our Spice members was formed back in 2012.
Since that beginning, our SPICE synchro team has had opportunities to skate at the fantastic British Synchronized Skating championship and Steel City Trophy.
In 2019, we were delighted that the British Ice Skating Synchronized Skating Technical Committee decided to add an Inclusive category to future championships.
We would like to thank the British Ice Skating committee with special thanks to Chris Buchanan who has championed our SPICE synchro team since our inception.
In 2022, as our synchro numbers grew, we introduced two synchro teams and have gone on to skate in the Inclusive category at both the Britannia Cup and Steel City Trophy.
Moving on to 2025 and we are attending both the Britannia Cup 2025 and the Steel City Trophy.
Skating and performing as a team takes a lot of hard work – Annie Hodgson, coaches both teams each Sunday morning during the regular Spice session. Spice Sparkles and Spice Crystals are now working on their routines for the 2025/2026 season.
